YEAR IS COMING TO A CLOSE!

In a short time, we will be saying good bye to the 2007-2008 school year and our fantastic fifth graders!

It has been a fantastic year in the media center --some of our highlights:

Zack, Eric and Matt succeeded in
Reading Olympics, taking a first in the fall competition and coming close in the spring and extreme competitions -- congratulations guys!

We had three great authors visit us this year! Thanks to Phil Bildner, Loren Long and Victoria Holmes for enlightening us with your tips on how to become great authors and illustrators!

Thanks to all the fourth graders who made new books for our library--and third graders, thanks for all your hard work in taking on new research skills!

We had a great year with first and second graders and learned so much about insects, birds, dinosaurs and reptiles!

And finally, good luck to our departing fifth graders-- WE WILL MISS YOU!!!!!

Zack, Matt and Eric competed for the third time in the EXTREME Reading Olympics on April 15th. Congratulations guys!
Ms. Vasquez' class showed off some our DVD series , "Draw me a story" that we acquired through a grant from Mr. David Albertson, an alum of Mann School. Thanks so much Mr. Albertson!
